Home Energy Survey Professional (HESP)

HESP provides participants with training in small business and residential energy auditing. Participants will gain hands-on experience using state of the art building performance equipment and will leave with an understanding of appropriate technologies and strategies for improved energy performance in Hawaii. Topics include building envelope features and performance, mechanical equipment types, renewable energy uses, appliance and lighting characteristics, etc. This course is appropriate for contractors, architects, inspectors, or anyone looking to pursue a career in an emerging industry in Hawaii.
