Hawaiʻi’s Marine Botanist Course

Tailored for tour boat crews, naturalists, and ocean enthusiasts, this course offers an overview of some of Hawaii’s most visible and the most often encountered protected marine life.  Learn about many unique and treasured marine species including information about their habitats, basic biological needs, distribution in the environment and how you can assist in protecting Hawaii’s marine ecosystems. Instructor: Hannah Bernard, Hawaiʻi Wildlife Fund

The two days of class are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 21-22, 2020.

To register online, click here.  To register in-person, visit the registration office in the Laulima building on the University of Hawaii Maui College campus, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

We encourage you to register as early as possible before class begins to secure your place in the class and to prevent a class with low enrollment from being cancelled.
