[NEW!] Home Gardening for Sustainability

Growing your own food contributes to local sustainability and greater island food security. Join us for 8 engaging workshops to learn how to grow your own food in a small garden space and how to incorporate the natural ecology of our environment into organic food production. The workshops will include classroom and hands-on learning exercises in the new UHMC Community Garden.

Instructor Bio: Kristen Freeman, is an ecologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. from the University of California, Davis. She has extensive experience as an educator and research in areas of ecology, soil science and sustainability.
